This morning I tossed a couple of biscuits into a steel dish for Hexe, they made a loud clang noise and five little heads popped up! First time they have noticed noise around them.
The boys response to your comment..."She'll be able to hear too?!?! That will be fun!" I really think that growing up with older dogs is good for kids, but boy it effects their expectations of a dog. Bailey had always had selective hearing but was actually deaf for the last 2 or 3 years!
